Motion for mistrial

Throughout the trial, if error has been committed that counsel feels has endangered the client's chances of getting a fair trial, a motion for mistrial should be made. If the jurisdiction requires such a motion to preserve appellate rights, it must be made immediately, at the time of error; otherwise, the request for new trial is deemed waived.
