DS 7.1 Identification of Education and Training Needs

Control Objective:

Establish and regularly update a curriculum for each target group of employees considering:

1. Current and future business needs and strategy
2. Corporate values (ethical values, control and security culture, etc.)
3. Implementation of new IT infrastructure and software (packages and applications)
4. Current skills, competence profiles and certification and/or credentialing needs
5. Delivery methods (e.g., classroom, web-based), target group size, accessibility

Risk Association Control Activities:

1. PCI-12.6.1 Educate employees (e.g., through posters, letters, memos, meetings, and promotions).
